Terms of service
Last updated October 24, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Find Free (“we” and “us”). They cover the Find Free app, its iMessage app, and findfree.app. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Who can use Find Free
You must be at least 13. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission. You can’t use Find Free if the law where you live doesn’t allow it.
2. Your account
- Use your own name and your own phone number, and keep them up to date.
- One account per person. Don’t share it or use someone else’s.
- Keep your phone and Apple account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your Find Free account.
3. Your calendars and what you add
Your calendar data, and anything you add to Find Free, like group names, places and plans, stay yours. You let us store, process and show them only as needed to run Find Free and as your sharing settings allow.
You decide what each person and group sees. If you share full details with someone, they’ll see your event titles. Only connect calendars you’re allowed to share, and only share other people’s details, like an address, if they’d be OK with it.
4. Plans, check-ins and the flake jar
- Suggested times are only as good as the calendars behind them, which can be out of date or incomplete. Double-check anything important.
- We’re not responsible for whether people show up, or for anything that happens at a plan. Plans are between you and the people you make them with.
- Check-ins use your phone’s location, which isn’t always accurate. Vouching and organizer fixes are there for when it’s wrong.
- The flake jar only keeps track. Find Free never holds, sends or receives money. Any amount in a jar is an arrangement among the people in that group. We don’t collect it, enforce it, or take part in it. If you pay through Venmo, Cash App or anything else, that service’s own terms apply.
5. Using Find Free fairly
Don’t use Find Free to:
- harass, threaten, stalk or track anyone;
- try to see data that hasn’t been shared with you, or get into accounts that aren’t yours;
- send spam, including invites, friend requests or contact lookups in bulk;
- copy or scrape the service, or interfere with how it works or its security;
- pretend to be someone else, or break the law.
6. Other companies’ services
Find Free works with services from other companies, such as Apple, Google, Venmo and Cash App. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we’re not responsible for them.
7. A free beta
Find Free is free and still being built, so features may change, break or go away. We may add paid features later. If we do, we’ll tell you first, and nothing will ever be charged without your agreement.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Find Free and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or to protect other people. We may also stop offering Find Free. If we do, we’ll give notice when we can, and you can ask us for a copy of your data.
9. Our stuff
The Find Free name, logo, app and website belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use the app as these terms allow. If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.
10. No guarantees
Find Free is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, always available or free of errors, or that it’s fit for a particular purpose.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Find Free won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Find Free is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used Find Free or broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from it, to the extent the law allows.
12. If you got the app from the App Store
- These terms are between you and Find Free, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund what you paid for the app, if anything. Apple has no other warranty duty for it.
- Apple isn’t responsible for claims about the app, including product liability, failing to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy law, or claims that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property. We are responsible for those, as these terms describe.
- You confirm you’re not in a country under a US government embargo, and not on a US government list of restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using Find Free after that means you accept the new terms.
14. The rest
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Find Free. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we haven’t given it up. You can’t transfer your account or these terms to someone else. We can transfer them if Find Free is sold or merges with another company.
If something goes wrong, email hello@findfree.app first, and we’ll try to sort it out.
